Dear Dr. Kaplan,

I am taking the time to write this letter because this is not just a thumbs up on Facebook or a smiley emoji on Instagram.

Dr. Kathy Knobel and her assistant Janet Conlon have moved mountains on my behalf. On my initial visit, for what I thought was a minor issue, in mid May, turned into something immediately more serious. Dr. Knobel detected a detached retina. She quickly summoned Dr. Jack Cohen who performed the surgery the same day most likely saving my left eye.

Dr Knobel has continued to help with the labyrinth of FAA required tests and documentation. She had reached out on my behalf to other doctors including my flight surgeon in an effort to return me to flying status.

Please recognize these two. They both have gone well beyond the boundaries of exceptional service.
